Offered as series or individual lessons, we explore movement together as a group. The gentle exploratory movement sequences are designed to challenge habitual movement patterns and introduce new ranges of motion, fostering ease and fluidity in your movements.

​

Lessons that are customized to address your specific interests or challenges. I'll help you understand your neuromuscular habits and lead you through an enjoyable learning process to cultivate new functional movement patterns.

Through a combination of touch, movements, and verbal guidance, I'll help you gain deeper insight into yourself and your self-organization, and assist you in finding efficient ways of moving.

Currently undergoing certification training for this modality, I am in a trainee position.

Meet Pernille

Nurse, Feldenkrais & Pilates Teacher​

​​​​​​​​I’ve always been fascinated by the connection between the mind and body. Throughout my nursing career in Denmark and Norway, I worked with patients facing a range of physical and emotional challenges. This experience deepened my understanding of the importance of holistic care—treating both body and mind to promote true healing.

 

My own journey with scoliosis, surgeries, and chronic pain has shaped who I am today. From a young age, I sought out holistic modalities like meditation, yoga, and eventually, Pilates and the Feldenkrais Method. Feldenkrais, in particular, has transformed how I move and relate to my body, helping me embrace self-awareness, acceptance, and growth.

 

I’ve had the privilege of studying under esteemed teacher Alan Questel, completing my certification as an Awareness Through Movement® teacher in 2024. I am currently teaching Pilates while continuing to deepen my understanding of Functional Integration®, the hands-on modality of the Feldenkrais Method. Additionally, I am furthering my knowledge through ongoing training with Dr. Moushumi Kuvawala at the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute (APPI).

​

Today, I guide others through mindful movement practices, helping them improve their physical and emotional well-being. I believe that movement is the language of the body, telling the story of our lives. Symptoms are not to be ignored—they are the body's way of communicating what needs attention. In order to truly change, heal, or improve, we must listen to what our bodies are telling us.

 

As Moshe Feldenkrais said,

"Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process, and you improve the quality of life itself."

I am here to help you tune into your body’s language, to move with ease, and to live fully in your body.
